Staff was fantastic. Skiing was good. This is a very family friendly resort with limited expert runs. This is a place to bring your young skiers and let them run wild. Just got done with skiing at 5 resorts in the UP and Ski Brule has the best ski shop and views of the hill.

soooooooooo kid friendly. we've had our girls years ago in the Ski-Wee school and now it's time for the grandkids to do the same. Staff is always thoughtful and helpful for beginners and pros. condos up the hill for rent and pioneer lodge across the street for a few hotel-room-type accomodations. restaurants are both in the lodge and halfway down one of the easy ski-runs both kid friendly. Ski-Wee school and daycare for the little ones help the mom and dad's to at least have half a day to get their kids intro ski while ski on the hills and lifts for themselves. great place to build family memories. we have so many....

We stayed 2 nights across the road in the condos and enjoyed the hot tub after each day of skiing. Ski Brule has a great Northwoods mom and pop feel that you pick up on in the pro shop, in the bar and on the lifts. So easy to ski there from the parking lot, we had the best time taking advantage of their weekday rates and the excellent patio to relax on after running laps on fast groomers. Very kid friendly and the ski school looked fun for all ages. They have a bunch of cool logo wear and stickers, and a great selection of liquor and beer at the lodge bar, which has an amazing collection of vintage skis mounted overhead, a large crackling stone fireplace and a fish fry meal on Fridays you shouldn't miss. Enjoy this place, its one of a kind.

Irlt is a very nice resort. There are many houses for rent, and a lodge with housing. On the hill there is a main area that serves food, has live music, and that's where you also get your pass. There is also a shop. The runs are fun. There are many runs. There is an old lodge "homestead lodge" it is a nice place to get lunch. You can also get hot coco and use the restroom. Outside in a pen there are goats. Last year there was a mule. But I didn't see it this time. Timberdoodle is black, but it should be labeled as a green. It's easy and fun. On Saturdays, I would make sure there isn't a race though. On race days, it's super crowded, no very little parking, people cutting in lines, and a lot of ruckus. On Saturdays at 6 (mabey later) there is a groomer ride up to homestead and you get delicious food. There is really good pulled pork, salad, and other stuff like hotdogs. I got to meet with the gold medalist Nick baumgartner. I got a picture, and got my helmet signed. I would absolutely recommend you to one to ski brule. I haven't been in the rooms, so I am not going to rate it bad. I have family that stayed there, and they said it was great.

This is the definition of a family ski resort. Our family is now on 4 generations of learning to ski here. The conditions are generally great. Regular grooming, snow making to be open early and late season, and well marked runs. The Homestead Lodge on the back of the hill is a great little place to hang for a snack/lunch/drink. Pair all this with a sunny bluebird day and it will be a day to never forget!

Beautiful ski hill and exceptional customer service! I mixed up my days and got a pass for the wrong day. Customer service was understanding and fixed things and saved the day! Ive been here twice and both times the lift lines were short, hills were well groomed and conditions were excellent!

Absolutely no complaints about the skiing. Love how they open so early when no other resorts do and go fairly late into spring. Snowmaking and grooming have always been great too. Staff are always friendly and haven't ever waited more than a couple minutes for a lift. My one complaint is the entire ticketing setup. For one, $75 is a decent price for midseason at 100% open, but charging that much for early season with 1-3 runs open is insanity. It costs less to ski opening day at A-basin in Colorado (with 3x the vertical and high speed lifts). They need dynamic pricing like other resorts where prices change based on demand and how much is open. And the discounted advance tickets are a good idea in theory, but needing to plan two weeks for them to physically ship (and offsetting any savings by paying for shipping/"service fees") when every other resort on the planet figured out online reservations a decade ago is a mess.

Had a really great time at Ski Brule this weekend. I'm a newer skier with friends who are intermediates, and we all had a blast. The staff is so friendly and helpful, and they had great tips on everything from boot fit to which blue runs are best for easing into moderate slopes. Definitely plan to grab lunch at the Homestead on the run. I thought the food and drink prices were really reasonable. In a world where so many ski resorts have an awful corporate vibe, Brule stands out as a good-old-fashioned, locally owned ski hill with character. For my fellow big calf-havers: this is the first ski resort I've ever rented boots from that had super adjustable ratchet-strap style boots. I had no idea these existed - I've just suffered miserably in rentals that were so tight my hamstrings couldn't extend all the way, to the point that I stopped skiing for several years because I didn't feel like it was worth it to buy my own gear and wanted to rent the couple times a year I go. I've skied some huge Michigan resorts that just shrugged and said they had nothing for me when I asked about larger calf boots, but Brule is really putting an effort into making skiing accessible to more people <3
